The “Book Distribution Project” has been the pride of ROTARY WORLI SINCE 1996.

We have been organizing Book Donation drives since 1996, in collaboration with Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust (RNCT) And The World Bank Family Network Book Project, have been donating these Books to RNCT.

Through these donation drives we have donated over 2.25 lakh educational books to over 2000 schools in Mumbai & surrounding area.

The key to the success of this Project has been our ability to organize Book Distribution Camps at low costs. These Exhibitions have been held at various different Schools across Mumbai, and Schools, Colleges and Educational Institutions are invited to participate and collect BOOKS of THEIR interest.

The Project has now bloomed into ‘MISSION MILLION BOOKS” Campaign of the ALIBABA GROUP.

The “MISSION MILLION BOOKS” will be in Association with “Crossword” and RNCT.

The  partners are Kotak Mahindra Bank,  World Bank Family Network Book Project, Delhivery, mGage India, Shoppers Stop and  HyperCity.

The first exhibition of this project will be conducted on 29th & 30th September, 2016 in Nava Samaj Mandal , Vile Parle east. The books will be collected over a period of one month from 18st August 2016 to 15th September 2016.

Once collected they will be sorted and a distribution drive will be held where we will be inviting over 3000 schools and colleges to come and collect these books free of cost.

The project aims to cultivate reading habits among children by providing access to quality and informative reading material to educational institutions in India.

We hope to be able to integrate this Project, into the Rotary India Literacy Mission’s (RILM), TEACH Programme.
