  • PEDIATRIC HEART SURGERY

Project:            Right to Life

“Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) are responsible for more deaths in the first year of life than any other birth defect across the world.”

“CHD is believed to affect 8 new born children in every 1000, and 1 in every 10 CHD births is fatal.”

“Over 1,80,000 children are born with CHD every year in India, and less than 10,000 get treated.”

These statistics and the innocence and helplessness of children with CHD led to the conception of “RIGHT TO LIFE” Project by ROTARY WORLI.

As a sincere partner in service, management of Wockhardt Hospital readily agreed to participate in the project. They not only agreed to doing these surgeries at a concessional rate, but also setting up seed capital thereby progressing towards the goal of saving valuable young lives.

Since the commencement of the Project in June 2015, more than 20 surgeries have been done. The state of the art facilities, and best of care and service, are provided to the children and families supported by this Project and no compromises are made.

This was witnessed by all & in particular by the parents of a 5 day old child weighing just a few hundred grams, with the successful surgery performed by the team of very well experienced Senior Doctors.

The smiles of joy on the parents’ faces, after the successful operation and recovery, are just priceless.

Your support are required to enable us to take this Project to the next level.
